CHILLS - BY TERRI DELCAMPO

Terri DelCampo has some great holiday horror for your ooky palate. Chills has eight stories that will show you a different side of the holiday season. Terri has a charming way about her that will draw you in with mellow prose but will slap you alongside the head too. The one-two punch. Loverly.

So, my friends, once the kids have gone to sleep, slide Chills onto your Kindle, put a spiffy nightcap on, and read away. You'll be glad you did.

Book description:

From where in the forest should Christmas trees come?

Will Christians to Morningstar be lost?

Who'll win the bet, Vulcan or Frost?

Christmas Eve miracle for a small child.

South Pole festivities horribly wild.

Good kids onto naughty list drift.

Naughty boy tempts hungry gifts.

Classic holiday ditties these stories are not.

Witty holiday stories that are delightfully gruesome and chilling. A quick read that entertains start to finish. My favorite story takes Christmas trees to a new level of creative horror.

Again, Damn It!, by Blaze McRob, is a full-length, real-life horror novel. I use a bare-knuckled approach all the way through it. From the very beginning, the tone of the novel is set.

This novel is exclusive to my Patreon page. You'll find a welcome home there.

Here is a short snippet from the first chapter:

I look across the vast room and see him sitting there. Alone. Staring out into space as if he's the only one here. But he's not alone. There are at least 200 boys in this dining area. Within himself, he's the only one present. He's lost there, still unaware of what's going on, why he's in this place, what lead him here. Two years old and James is totally confused.

Greg is taking it better than James. He's acclimating himself to what's around him. Blending in. As much as one can, considering the circumstances. This room of silence seems to fit him. How the people running this joint keep it this quiet is beyond me. Then again, maybe not so. They rule with an iron fist here. We play by their rules, or there are consequences.

Me? I'm just pissed. That's the best way to describe how I'm feeling.

Where’s Betty? Is she in the girls’ building? Maybe she’s with mom and dad, wherever they are. She’s just a baby, way too young to be here.

******

The day I arrived here was total confusion. I was walking up the outdoor stairs to our little apartment in Hackensack, having just walked there from school, and they were waiting for me on the landing. Two old women and a big guy. I was confused and started running back down the stairs, but the guy was a lot faster than me and had his hands on my shirt collar before I made it a few steps down.

“You’re coming with us,” he said.

"What’s going on?” I asked.

“You’ll find out later.”

“Let me get some clothes, at least.”

He laughed. “You won’t get anything out of there, kid. It’s been cleaned out. Nobody, or thing, is in there.

No answers to my questions. This was to be the start of that. I would be in a continual state of darkness as to what was going on around me. It was up to me to figure things out.

Happy reading, my friends!
