Hometown and family beckon Lexie when she can no longer tolerate her husband’s wandering eye. Bereft, she moves with her teenage daughter Eva back to Moose Creek Junction, Wyoming, to be near her sister Lucy and open a business—The Saucy Lucy Café. Lexie’s sister is a churchgoing woman who believes her sister must remarry in order to enter the kingdom of heaven, and suddenly, Lexie finds herself back in the dating pool. Lexie Lightfoot’s move home to Moose Creek Junction, Wyoming, with her daughter, Eva, has been both a blessing and a curse. It’s good to be near her family, even though Lucy, her opinionated, churchgoing sister, makes life interesting in a hair-pulling sort of way.

I have been fortunate enough to know the author, Cindy Keen Reynders, as a neighbor years ago. When she first told me she was writing a novel, I was so impressed and knew right away what an amazing talent she had. Cindy's books - The Saucy Lucy Murders, Pawsitively Guilty and A Killer Slice, of which I have purchased and read all three, make the reader feel like they are right there in Moose Creek Junction, Wyoming and know Lexie Lightfoot and her daughter Eva and Lexie's church going sister Lucy. The plots of the stories in these three novels keep the reader's attention and interest at all times. Once I picked up a book and started reading, I did not want to put the book down until I had finished. You are able pick up each book and read as though it were a continuation of the story of the lives of these people. At times the events are funny and make you laugh and other times you find yourself sitting on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. When I finished reading A Killer Slice, I was hoping Cindy would have the fourth book of this series published so I could run out and purchase it and pick up where the story ended. Cindy has a great talent at keeping the reader interested in her stories. I plan on reading any and all of Cindy's great novels she publishes. Thanks so much Cindy for such talented creative writing.
